I. David Daniels has been safety professional for over 25 years, primarily in public sector organizations across the United States. He is President/CEO of ID2 Solutions, LLC. Among his professional career highlights was his role as Executive Director of Workforce Safety in the Office of Atlanta (GA) Mayor. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Fire Science, and emergency service positions as a Fire Chief and Emergency Manager in three states.
Daniels holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management. He is certified as a Safety Director, Safety Manager/Trainer, Safety Auditor, Workplace Violence Prevention Specialist, Emergency Management Specialist, Hazard Communication Specialist, Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, Safety and Health Specialist, and Fire Service Health and Safety Officer. He is also a Chief Fire Officer designee.
Daniels is a member of, and delegate to the National Safety Council (NSC). He is chair of the NSC’s Government and Public Sector Division. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Safety, Health, and Survival Section; and chairs the IAFC’s Bullying, Harassment and Violence Prevention Task Group. He is also a member of the International Association of Safety Professionals. Daniels speaks and consults on a variety of subjects including occupational safety, organizational culture, human resource management, and leadership.
